On behalf of the ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund, ASR Real Estate has acquired 254 houses, a gym and a restaurant in the green multifunctional property project Wonderwoods at the Jaarbeursboulevard in Utrecht

Wonderwoods Development is a joint venture between G&S Vastgoed and KonderWessels Projecten. Earlier this year ASR Dutch Mobility Office Fund already purchased the offices in the project, the so-called play lab, the facilities on the ground floor and the underlying parking garage.

The Wonderwoods plan includes two towers of 90 and 70 meters high with room for living, working, relaxation and entertainment. The highest tower, designed by the Italian architects Stefano Boeri Architetti, is a vertical forest with plants on the balconies and on the fa├žade. The tower of MVSA Architects has characteristic curves and also a lot of green. The ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund acquires a total of 254 rental properties located in both towers.

Construction will start in the second quarter of 2019 and completion is planned for mid 2022. ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund has a diversified residential portfolio with a value of 1.2 billion euros.

Wonderwoods is located in the Beurskwartier, within walking distance of the central station and the city center of Utrecht. The total project consists of owner-occupied and rented houses, offices, a large central bicycle parking, an underground car park, healthy catering, an ArtSience Museum Playlab, gym and commercial functions on the ground floor.

ASR Dutch Core Residential Fund has been assisted commercially by Van Gool Elburg Vastgoedspecialisten.
